Job Overview:
The appointed consultant will be required to execute their responsibilities at the designated location(s) as determined by the Department; however, it is essential that consultants operate within the Tallahassee, Florida vicinity. Assignments may be allocated temporarily or permanently, contingent upon the Department's requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee project activities related to the design and execution of business processes, legislative initiatives, and supporting information systems projects.
- Implement project management methodologies for the development and delivery of GTA business initiatives.
- Facilitate and draft project determination documentation in accordance with the Department of Management's Project Management and Oversight standards, including business cases, scope definitions, and project charters.
- Manage the scope, deliverables, risks, and issues associated with assigned projects.
- Collaborate with business and IT personnel, process owners, subject matter experts, and key stakeholders to gather project requirements as necessary.
- Engage with other Departmental stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide regular status updates to Program management and stakeholders.
- Document lessons learned and conduct project closure activities.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology Project Management.
- At least 2 years of experience within a structured Project Management Office (PMO).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project and/or other project management tools.
- Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
- Additional duties as required.

Education:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in state agency environments and adherence to the Department of Management's Project Management and Oversight guidelines.
