Project Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Millstone Weber. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for providing support to the Project Manager and Superintendent in the management and execution of assigned contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of Pre-Activity and project startup meetings, including Project Handoff Meeting with Estimating Department, Pre-Construction Meeting with Owner, and Pre-Construction Meeting with Unions.
- Distribute and maintain Project Plans, Specifications, Standard Plans, Job Special Provisions, Phase Listing, Direct Cost Reports, Plan Revisions, etc.
- Build Daily and/or Weekly Project Schedule and distribute to all required parties.
- Assist with initial development and monthly update of CPM Schedule.
- Assist Superintendent and Foremen with day-to-day tasks, including material procurement, daily project scheduling, survey/layout, etc.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, material suppliers, and vendors as needed to meet project schedule requirements.
- Coordinate with Owner/Owner's representative, Inspectors, QC/QA personnel, etc. to schedule testing and/or inspection of work.
- Coordinate with MW Operations Managers, including Survey, Quality Control, Structures, Concrete, Transportation, etc. as needed.
- Prepare and submit RFIs and Submittals to owner or engineer of record.
- Assist with project closeout/final completion tasks, including punchlist, final plans, certs, final quantities/change orders, etc.
Requirements
- BS Civil Engineering with focus on Construction/Engineering Management or MS Civil Engineering with focus on Construction/Engineering Management.
- 2 years Civil Engineering (Heavy Construction) experience or 1 year Civil Engineering (Heavy Construction) experience with MS degree.
- Completion of OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Construction Course.
- Strong proficiency using MS Project, HCSS HeavyJob or HeavyBid, and Primavera P6.
