We are seeking a seasoned Technical Sales professional to lead our business development efforts in the aerospace industry. This exciting opportunity is ideal for an experienced sales leader who can leverage their expertise to drive growth and expand our presence in this critical market.

About the Role

This key position involves developing and executing strategic plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets, while building and maintaining strong customer relationships with civil and defense OEMs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets
  • Build and maintain long-lasting, strong customer relationships while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs
  • Understand, analyze, and report industry-specific trends and landscapes
  • Work with support teams (Design Engineering, Program Management, Communication, etc.) to create and communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals, creatively address customer requirements, and be a trustworthy resource and solution provider
  • Work with support teams (Design Engineering, Program Management, Manufacturing, Accounting, etc.) to ensure that the system's information is up to date and that orders are delivered in a timely manner
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a Master's degree in industrial/mechanical engineering or a related discipline, along with at least 5 years of sales experience in the aerospace industry. You should also have a proven track record of developing target account conquest strategies, sales plans, new business proposals, and negotiating pricing and delivery.

Other essential skills include:

  • Strong communication proficiency, presentation, and organization skills
  • Proficient computer skills – MS Office, CAD software (Catia, NX, etc.) would be a plus
  • Ability to travel within a territory, up to 30%, and potentially internationally
Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include a comprehensive health insurance plan, 401(k) matching program, and opportunities for career advancement.
