US1142 Buckhead Meat of Dallas, Inc. is a leading provider of food distribution and restaurant supply services. We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Consultant to join our team in the Dallas area.
Estimated Salary
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $65,000 and $90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
About the Job
This outside sales position involves promoting our products and services to new and existing accounts, building relationships with customers, and achieving sales and profit goals. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing new business, penetrating existing accounts, and minimizing lost business to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within assigned territory.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities by researching customer needs and developing a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
- Penetrate existing accounts by identifying cross-selling and up-selling opportunities.
- Minimize lost business by following up with customers and resolving any issues that may have led to the loss of business.
- Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on their business needs and goals.
- Provide value-added services to customers by sharing information about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Drive personal vehicle to customer accounts, conventions, company meetings, etc.
- Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client.
- Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department.
- Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customer events.
- Attend and participate in general sales and district meetings.
- Engage in ongoing training sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED and 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (including no multiple DUIs within the last 2 years).
- Current automobile insurance with the following limits of liability: Bodily injury - $100,000 each person and $300,000 each accident; property damage - $100,000.
- Ability to read, write, speak English.
- Basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
