Job Description

As a Sales Professional for Vertical Transportation Equipment, you will be responsible for achieving sales goals and objectives for all vertical transportation equipment for the LA branch. You will develop and maintain relationships with owners, building managers, general contractors, consultants, architects, and developers to drive sales growth.

The essential functions of the position include:

  • Managing assigned territory to meet or exceed sales team business objectives
  • Preparing estimates, proposals, and bids using the company estimating system and process
  • Reviewing sales staff estimates, proposals, and bids
  • Daily interface with customers, management, coworkers, and vendors on contracts, contract support, and administration
  • Preparing winning strategies to secure projects and following through to completion
  • Entering data and utilizing Salesforce per company policy and guidelines
  • Maintaining current and accurate contract records and correspondence
  • Coordinating with internal departments as necessary
  • Negotiating subcontract awards
  • Preparing all necessary documents for efficient transfer to Project Management
  • Participating in project kick-off meetings for proper handover of sold projects to PM
  • Assisting PM on resolution of pending items as necessary
  • Reviewing subcontract for proper scope of work and negotiating as necessary
  • Assisting in developing customer presentations on product services and conducting presentations
  • Assisting with collections and maintenance of accounts to ensure minimal receivables
  • Diligently entering data and utilizing Salesforce per company policy and guidelines
  • Local travel up to 80% of the time
  • Performing project site surveys as necessary
  • Attending pre-bid conferences, job site, and customer meetings
  • Communicating effectively with management on all pending sales issues and challenges
  • Developing and maintaining excellent customer relations and ensuring company interests are maximized
  • Responding quickly, professionally, and positively to all customer needs and concerns
  • Maintaining files
  • Participating in product development and strategy meetings with management

Education and experience requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant work experience. Proficient use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is necessary. Strong mechanical/technical aptitude, strong oral and written communication skills, and strong people skills are also required.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $140,000 and $192,500/year, with a total compensation package including commissions, incentive compensation, and discretionary awards, as well as a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
