Position Summary: The Venue Operations Supervisor will play a crucial role in overseeing all facets of event management, including setup, facility operations, and production. This position is responsible for managing venue operations, security, and policy development, ensuring that all services provided meet the highest standards for visitors, tenants, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage the transformation of the event space according to the specific requirements of each event.
  • Ensure the venue is prepared and that events operate seamlessly.
  • Assist senior management in establishing and maintaining comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures for all building operations.
  • Coordinate operational activities with other departments and external contractors to guarantee smooth event execution.
  • Select, train, motivate, and assess the performance of Housekeeping and Operations Supervisors, as well as part-time staff.
  • Provide and coordinate staff training to ensure compliance with company standards and promote staff development.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety and efficiency among staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Plan, direct, and review the operational workflow for facility events.
  • Manage the procurement of supplies and materials for housekeeping and operations within budget constraints.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients, fostering a customer-first approach.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to address performance issues and implement necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in the overall daily management of the facilities alongside senior leadership.
  • Oversee labor hour coordination and report allocations to the accounting department.
  • Ensure accurate timekeeping for departmental payroll compliance.
  • Participate in the development and management of the Operations budget, forecasting staffing and material needs, and monitoring expenditures.
  • Maintain knowledge of hazardous materials regulations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in event management, sports administration, business administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facility operations supervision or a similar role in a public assembly venue.
  • Proven supervisory skills and experience managing work crews in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and self-motivational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities in English.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to obtain forklift certification.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
