Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Supervisor to join our team at Central States Manufacturing, Inc. As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership of assigned areas, supervising drivers, and ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time performance to schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide day-to-day leadership of assigned areas, supervising drivers and ensuring they maintain safety, quality, efficiency, and on-time performance to schedule.
  • Fleet Management: Work with the site/corporate management team to optimize fleet (driver & equipment) utilization, execute daily delivery plans, manage KPIs, and lead focus on quality customer service.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve all aspects of the assigned area, including safety, quality, efficiency, and customer service.
  • Communication: Promote and develop the company culture and engagement of drivers through regular contact and communication.
  • Training and Development: Develop team through constant On-the-Job Training and coaching, and lead driver onboarding and training activities at the site.
  • Problem-Solving: Perform problem-solving activities for delivery and production, and understand a structured process to solve problems with root cause analysis and validated corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Education: Two-year degree in logistics, supply chain, management, or general business field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Microsoft Office Proficiency, especially in Excel, and familiarity with Epicor, Samsara (or other fleet tracking software), and TMS software.
