PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Recruit, interview, and onboard new team members to build a strong workforce.
2. Collaborate with the management team to implement effective associate retention strategies.
3. Cultivate a positive and engaged workplace culture, addressing team concerns proactively.
4. Communicate essential priorities to associates to support sales, service, and customer loyalty.
5. Provide ongoing coaching and development for associates, including performance evaluations and recommendations for advancement.
6. Ensure compliance with Kohl's policies and procedures among all team members.
7. Promote a customer-centric approach among associates to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
8. Maintain a visually appealing and organized store environment, ensuring high standards of merchandise presentation.
9. Make informed decisions regarding store expense management, including payroll and productivity.
10. Guide associates in the point-of-sale processes to enhance customer service.
11. Lead the implementation of merchandising directives to optimize product placement and availability.
12. Analyze market trends and collaborate with fellow leaders to identify opportunities for business growth.
13. Allocate resources effectively to meet business demands and workload requirements.
14. Oversee merchandise flow to ensure timely replenishment and accessibility for customers.
15. Exercise sound judgment in making management decisions that affect store operations.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Proven experience in managing a high-volume retail environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a diverse team of associates.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges.
- Experience in fast-paced, dynamic settings.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of management.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to open and close the store as needed.
- Willingness to work overnight shifts occasionally.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to spend the majority of work hours on the sales floor, engaging with customers and associates.
- Physical activities include bending, lifting, walking, and reaching frequently.
