Position Highlights:
  • Deliver High-Quality Designs: Utilize your expertise alongside our proprietary AI for MEP software to produce some of the most precise and high-quality plans in the industry, significantly reducing design time compared to traditional methods.

Key Duties:
  • Collaborate with clients, the MEP/FP/IT design team, and other consultants to ensure alignment with the client's vision, resolve conflicts, and maintain a fully coordinated interdisciplinary design.
  • Engage in meetings and conference calls as required.
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant codes applicable to the projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other software to develop comprehensive electrical construction document packages, including plans for electrical distribution equipment, devices, equipment connections, luminaires, controls, fire alarm systems, and all associated circuitry.
  • Conduct necessary calculations to support design decisions, including load, short-circuit, and photometric calculations.
  • Coordinate with local utility providers to secure essential utility services for projects.
  • Work with equipment vendors and manufacturers for the selection and specification of suitable equipment.
  • Provide construction administration services, including responding to requests for information (RFIs).
  • Offer mentorship and guidance to fellow team members.
Qualifications:
  • Possess an ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis or Electrical Engineering focused on power systems.
  • Have five or more years of electrical design experience with an MEP/FP engineering consultancy.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code).
  • Hold Engineer-Intern (EI) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
  • Possess or be able to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and efficiently with minimal direction.
