Position Overview:

Key Duties:
  • Collaborate with clients, the MEP/FP/IT design team, and other consultants to ensure alignment with the client's vision, resolve conflicts, and maintain a fully coordinated design.
  • Engage in meetings and discussions as required.
  • Familiarize yourself with relevant codes applicable to the projects.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and other design software to produce comprehensive electrical construction documents, including plans for electrical distribution, devices, equipment connections, lighting, controls, fire alarm systems, and associated circuitry.
  • Conduct necessary calculations to support design choices, including load, short-circuit, and photometric calculations.
  • Coordinate with local utility providers to secure essential services for projects.
  • Work with equipment vendors and manufacturers to select and specify suitable equipment.
  • Provide construction administration services, including responding to requests for information (RFIs).
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Qualifications:
  • Possess an ABET-accredited degree in Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus or Electrical Engineering with a specialization in power systems.
  • Have five or more years of experience in electrical design within an MEP/FP engineering consultancy.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm & Signaling Code).
  • Hold Engineer-Intern (EI) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
  • Possess or be eligible to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) credentials in Electrical Engineering.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
