Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Account Director to spearhead the acquisition of new clients and rejuvenate relationships with past customers, focusing on contractual business opportunities. This role is designed for a sales professional with a strong passion for new business development, particularly within the steel or metals sector.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage with clients both on-site and virtually to identify their needs and propose tailored strategies and product solutions.
- Cultivate and strengthen existing relationships while forging new connections within the industry.
- Meet and exceed sales and profitability targets to drive revenue growth.
- Analyze current accounts and devise innovative strategies to enhance revenue streams.
- Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with sales resources to ensure comprehensive coverage.
- Present and discuss the company’s products and value-added services effectively, managing complex proposals aligned with customer requirements.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and activities in designated software systems.
- Ensure ongoing communication with clients, managing activities and follow-ups to guarantee satisfaction and robust business relationships.
- Oversee contract business, ensuring compliance with all signed agreements.
- Adhere to established sales and pricing guidelines.
- Provide feedback on the performance of sales associates supporting corporate accounts.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of eight years in consultative sales, emphasizing value-based relationships in the steel or metal industries.
- Proficient in Salesforce and Microsoft Office Suite.

Skills and Attributes
- Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently while demonstrating professionalism and sound judgment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales goals in competitive environments.
- Strong negotiation skills and creative selling capabilities.
- Experience managing corporate-level relationships within complex accounts.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying information clearly to various audiences.

Additional Information
- Must be willing to travel and work outside of standard business hours as necessary.
- Overnight travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
