Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse will be responsible for evaluating the mental health needs of patients, developing treatment plans, and providing personal care. You will also participate in de-escalation and crisis intervention, coordinate with families, doctors, and other health professionals, and administer medications as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate mental health needs of patients and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide personal care and support to patients, including administering medications and performing physical exams.
  • Participate in de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety.
  • Coordinate with families, doctors, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications and observe and record patient behavior.
  • Perform physical exams and diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Collect patient health histories and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
  • Educate patients about treatment plans and provide ongoing support and guidance.
Requirements:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license within state of practice required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing.
  • One (1) year of recent experience in acute care hospital setting strongly preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • De-Escalation Certification required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • English required, bilingual preferred.
