Your Role:

As a Construction Project Coordinator at The Boldt Company, you will play a crucial role within the project management team. Your responsibilities will include gathering, assessing, and coordinating all necessary information to ensure our projects are executed in line with contractual agreements. You will advocate for Boldt's interests daily, ensuring that all work adheres to safety regulations, timelines, and quality standards. This position requires a balance of office work and on-site engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety:

  • Maintain strict compliance with safety protocols and ethical standards.
  • Support the implementation of site safety initiatives and ensure subcontractor adherence to Boldt's safety guidelines.

Collaboration:

  • Serve as a point of contact for architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve issues related to project plans and specifications.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with clients and contractors to align our design and construction strategies.
  • Generate various reports, including labor logs, safety documentation, and quality control checklists.
  • Encourage participation in internship and apprenticeship programs.
  • Engage in training and development opportunities across the company.

Quality Assurance:

  • Develop a thorough understanding of contract documents, including specifications and applicable codes.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of construction documents to ensure feasibility and quality standards are met.
  • Assist in preparing recommendations for materials and methods, as well as cost estimates.
  • Support the submittal process and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Manage the latest versions of drawings and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Confirm that completed work aligns with relevant codes and specifications.

Project Scheduling:

  • Assist in organizing subcontractor meetings and planning sessions.
  • Oversee the supply chain for materials to ensure timely availability for project execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date production visuals and site logistics plans.
  • Support production tracking efforts.

Cost Management:

  • Assist Project Managers in negotiating changes and managing project budgets.
  • Provide technical support for cost control initiatives.
  • Contribute to specific sections of the overall project budget as needed.

Risk Management:

  • Prepare detailed lists of contract items essential for project construction.
  • Support the development of scopes of work and manage subcontract agreements.
  • Participate in project close-out processes, ensuring compliance with contract documents.
  • Engage in risk management activities, including identification and response planning.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A solid understanding of construction techniques, equipment, and applicable standards.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to take responsibility in a team environment.

Working Conditions:

This position requires occasional physical activity, including lifting and maneuvering in various environments. Employees may work both indoors and outdoors, experiencing varying weather conditions. Personal protective equipment is necessary to ensure safety on-site.
