Project Manager Job Overview

Primary Duties

  • Collaborate with the Project Director and Estimating team to establish a comprehensive Project Chart of Accounts.
  • Generate an in-depth Project Contract status report.
  • Coordinate with the Project Superintendent to devise a project site logistics strategy.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contract.
  • Oversee the pay request procedure.
  • Monitor project expenditures and maintain the Job Cost Report.
  • Evaluate and predict Total Cost Projection reports.
  • Facilitate training programs for staff members.
  • Supervise project labor and authorize material, forming system, and equipment requirements.
  • Assist the Estimating team in project bidding processes.
  • Lead the quality assurance process throughout the project.
  • Manage the project close-out procedures.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and owners.
  • Implement Safety and EEO/Affirmative Action initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in complex commercial or industrial construction projects.
  • Advanced understanding of construction principles.
  • Experience in managing subcontracts and subcontractors.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities in project teams and external relationships.
  • Exceptional organizational, team management, problem-solving, and motivational skills.
