Senior Footwear Materials Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Footwear Materials Specialist to drive innovation and excellence in footwear materials. This role involves developing, testing, and commercializing new materials, collaborating with internal teams and vendors to ensure quality, performance, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test new footwear materials, ensuring product quality and innovation.
  • Collaborate with Material Planning, Sourcing, and Costing teams to resolve material-related issues.
  • Work with vendors to manage material specifications, pricing, and performance.
  • Translate lab testing results into actionable insights for product teams.
  • Provide training and guidance on material strategies and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Materials, Chemistry, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in materials development, manufacturing, or engineering.
  • Expertise in various materials (e.g., fibers, yarn, textiles, leather).
  • Proficient in MS Office and material management systems.
