Job Description & Requirements

JOB SUMMARY

The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, analyzing, negotiating, and processing contracts and related documents to ensure accuracy for operational/project teams. This role will work in conjunction with the Legal, Risk Management, and Finance Departments to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist with the pre-qualification of bidders and secure confidentiality agreements.
  2. Draft scopes of work, compile, and issue requests for proposals (RFPs), invitations for bid (IFBs) for approvals and then issuance to bidders.
  3. Receive and record proposals, assist project teams with bidder review and selection of successful bidders, and prepare appropriate contract forms.
  4. Verify insurance coverage, vendor qualification, and prepare notices of commencements, letters of authorization, or notices to proceed (if required).
  5. Coordinate with successful bidders for the execution of final contracts and attend weekly/monthly project meetings.
  6. Prepare and issue contract change orders based on directive settlements, contract status reports, and maintain contract files, document control, and retention of files.
  7. Prepare and issue close-out documentation, assist with claims administration, and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.

Additional Information

This role requires construction-related contract experience and a bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university. Excellent contract writing skills are essential, and a writing sample may be required.
