About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Executive to join our team at Hammes. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex healthcare projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development of project feasibility analyses and conduct project visioning sessions with clients.
  • Lead the qualification, selection, and contract negotiations for architects, engineers, and other consultants.
  • Review and negotiate additional work requests from A/E and consultants.
  • Supervise the programming and planning efforts of selected architects.
  • Perform site analysis and investigations, and develop and adhere to detailed development budgets and schedules.
  • Obtain required project public approvals and provide design direction and management of the overall design process.
  • Review design development and construction documents to determine adequacy, and lead the GC or CM qualifications, selection, and contract negotiations.
  • Evaluate the adequacy of construction allowances, contingencies, and general conditions, and provide construction administration in adherence with company policies and procedures.
  • Review and negotiate GC or CM change order requests, and monitor the GC or CM performance for areas of potential risk.
  • Coordinate physician office suite development, provide project cost control, and prepare timely and accurate monthly budget reports and invoicing.
  • Coordinate the selection, procurement, delivery, and installation of medical and other equipment, signage, and furniture, and prepare monthly reports to clients.
  • Create project overview and status report presentations to clients' administration, Board, and Board Committees, and promote the services of the company through thought leadership, speaking engagements, client leadership, and/or business development efforts.
  • Collaborate with others within the company to reach client goals and objectives, and use e-Builder software throughout the project.
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in a related discipline preferred, and a minimum of 8 years of progressive healthcare project management experience in leading and managing complex projects.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high level of professionalism and performance leading planning, design, preconstruction, contract negotiations, cost control, scheduling, and team coordination activities.
  • Excellent project budgeting, contract negotiations, and scheduling skills are essential for success in this position.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to analyze data to the client and team to achieve project goals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with executive level external and internal healthcare clients.
  • Strong ability to multitask, work independently, and manage all aspects of a construction project effectively and efficiently.
  • Must have proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Windows applications, and e-Builder experience is strongly preferred.
