Position Overview

We invite you to join our strategy and operations consulting team at McConnell Jones. Key Responsibilities

In this crucial hands-on role, you will engage with a variety of industries and clients, utilizing your analytical and critical thinking skills to thoroughly understand client processes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting interviews with client personnel.
  • Creating process maps that document the current and desired states of business processes.
  • Writing detailed narratives that outline tasks.
  • Performing process walkthroughs and benchmarking processes against industry best practices.
  • Conducting gap analyses and formulating improvement recommendations.
  • Effectively communicating solutions through process mapping, flow diagramming, and proficient writing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in performance auditing, consulting, and client engagement.
  • A minimum of 6 years of consulting experience, including performance auditing across various industries.
  • Ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills focused on achieving measurable business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in teamwork and collaboration.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent report writing capabilities.
  • Effective verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA).
  • Experience in the public sector.
  • Background in performance auditing.
  • Project management experience is a plus, but not mandatory.
