Position Overview

The role of the Business Analyst I is crucial in planning, designing, and enhancing operational processes that support collaborative agreements between Performance Search Group and its partners. This position entails the generation and compilation of reports, communications for the Board, and financial analyses of projects to convey potential solutions regarding various activities and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate partner-related tasks to ensure adherence to Joint Operating Agreements (JOA) and conduct analyses to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of field development strategies, operations, and projects to proactively identify and communicate potential risks associated with joint ventures.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client JOAs and provide guidance to team members.
  • Participate in partner meetings and document minutes and action items, ensuring all meeting arrangements are well-organized and supported.
  • Prepare reports and documentation in collaboration with Exploration & Production functional teams to address partner inquiries.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses and prepare related documentation.
  • Assist in the formulation of Authorizations for Expenditure (AFEs), including supporting documentation and analysis, while tracking AFE progress.
  • Contribute to the preparation of materials for monthly and quarterly reports for senior management and the Board of Directors, along with other corporate reporting obligations.
  • Compile and analyze inputs for cost recovery accounts.
  • Gather necessary documentation for compliance-related matters.
  • Support internal compliance reporting as needed.
  • Assist in managing the documentation and retrieval of government correspondence.
  • Engage in the development and/or redesign of processes and reports to enhance insights into critical issues affecting partners and clients.
  • Establish strong working relationships with team members across all organizational levels and functional areas, as well as with partner teams.
  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
