**Key Responsibilities**
As a Client Investment Analyst, your primary focus will be on generating client-facing performance reports. You will provide analytical support to the investment management team, collaborating with senior associates to report on client portfolios, actively monitor asset allocations, and produce comprehensive reports to keep the firm informed about assets under management, strategy performance, and account activities.
**Success Factors**
+ You will be responsible for generating, preparing, updating, and maintaining performance reports for clients, covering mutual funds, proprietary CIBC Private Wealth Management funds, and alternative investments, along with asset allocation snapshots and total portfolio performance.
+ Utilize internal systems, Bloomberg Terminal, and third-party data sources for effective data collection.
+ Proficiency in Excel is essential for report generation, updates, and maintenance.
+ Monitor client asset allocations to ensure compliance with investment policy statements and internal strategies, making necessary adjustments by buying or selling securities.
+ Create periodic reports on strategy performance for internal and external strategies, providing insights to senior leadership regarding performance and assets under management.
+ Regularly update clients on their portfolios and investment performance.
+ Collaborate closely with portfolio managers, senior analysts, and other team members to deliver high-quality investment services.
+ Conduct thorough market research and analysis across various asset classes, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
+ Assess investment opportunities and provide informed recommendations to senior analysts and portfolio managers.
**Qualifications**
+ A B.A. or B.S. degree is required, with a preference for majors in accounting, finance, or economics.
+ A minimum of 2 years of experience in investment analysis, financial services, or a related field.
+ Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential, particularly for client-facing reports.
+ Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, including Excel and Bloomberg.
+ Strong quantitative reasoning skills and the ability to manipulate quantitative data effectively.
+ Familiarity with the MS Office Productivity suite, especially Excel.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts clearly to clients.
+ Professional certifications such as CFA or Series 7/63 are advantageous.
