Innova Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Sample Coordinator Associate to join our team. As a Sample Coordinator Associate, you will be responsible for performing a variety of sample and standard tasks, including receipt, check-in, login, labeling, launching, inventory, transport, check-out, and disposal of materials in support of the laboratory.
Key Responsibilities- Perform sample and standard tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate status of samples / standards to laboratory staff.
- Guide and advise laboratory staff in sample / standard procedures.
- Complete investigation and deviation forms as necessary, and determine appropriate CAPAs.
- Review and provide feedback on laboratory requests, ensuring compliance with applicable SOPs.
- Train on SOPs, regulatory guidelines, and storage requirements.
- Respond to environmental unit alarms and participate in on-call responsibilities.
- High / Secondary school diploma or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
- Technical positions may require a certificate.
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to at least 2 years) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.
- Basic knowledge of inventory flow and control.
- Knowledge of laboratory and regulatory requirements (documentation, sample storage).
- Ability to write/review SOPs and process improvement outlines.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Effective time management and project management skills.
- Problem solving/troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Previous data entry experience a big plus.
The position is in a lab setting, but will not be processing samples. The 2nd shift works on all the frozen samples and storage of same at -70 degrees which necessitates the use of dry ice.
