  • Directing the planning, implementation, and analysis of human genetic studies aimed at uncovering new therapeutic targets.
  • Employing both established and cutting-edge analytical methods to identify genetic correlations with human health and disease.
  • Translating outcomes from human genetic studies into therapeutic propositions that have credible mechanistic foundations, supported by diverse evidence, and are amenable to experimental evaluation.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams of geneticists, bioinformaticians, biologists, chemists, and drug developers to design and conduct in silico, in vitro, and in vivo experiments to investigate and validate therapeutic propositions.
  • Effectively communicating genetic findings both internally and externally through expert presentations and the preparation of manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contributing innovative ideas and critical insights for the ongoing enhancement and advancement of Theery's drug discovery methodologies.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in the genetics field and integrating relevant techniques and discoveries into internal projects.

Qualifications:

This position mandates a PhD in Human Genetics, Biomedical Informatics, or a related field, or a Master's degree coupled with a minimum of one year of experience in human genetics research with a translational emphasis.

Proven expertise in designing, leading, interpreting, and conveying the results of human genetics investigations, along with the ability to identify therapeutically significant hypotheses.

A solid grasp of statistical genetics principles and genetic epidemiology is essential.

While a background in molecular biology is advantageous, familiarity with the design of experimental studies aimed at understanding the functional implications of genetic variants and the mechanistic basis for genetic associations is crucial; however, this position is not suited for candidates with a primary focus on wet-lab work.

Candidates must possess authorization to work in the U.S.
