Position Overview
Under general supervision, this role involves executing preventive maintenance tasks, as well as inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently follows established protocols to complete assigned duties.
  • Performs repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Conducts inspections, diagnoses, and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Utilizes vehicle computer electronic systems to identify issues for repair.
  • Estimates repair costs and orders necessary components.
  • Completes all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Responds to service calls for urgent breakdowns.
  • Conducts safety inspections on vehicles.
  • Completes required documentation for vehicle repairs and parts usage.
  • Assists senior technicians with project-related tasks.
  • Reviews and addresses repairs noted on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintains a clean and safe workspace, adhering to safety standards at all times.

Qualifications
Education and Experience

  • Education: Not required.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of relevant experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and physical assessment.

Work Environment

  • Requires motor coordination and physical effort for handling objects.
  • Exposure to occupational hazards and environmental conditions.
  • Typical work setting: repair and maintenance facility.
