Role Summary
The Medical Equipment Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a team of technicians focused on the upkeep and repair of medical devices. This role includes staff development, workload management, customer service, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage departmental budgets to ensure operational efficiency.
- Supervise and mentor Biomedical personnel.
- Provide technical training on equipment operation, maintenance, and quality assurance.
- Assist in evaluating new medical devices and recommend compliance with electrical and functional standards.
- Diagnose and resolve medical equipment issues through repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Engage in hazard identification and medical device reporting protocols.
- Instruct client personnel on safe equipment usage as necessary.
- Maintain accurate inventory and documentation.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
- Associate degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related technical field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in the Biomedical Equipment sector.
- Preferred certification as a Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) from the International Certification Commission.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology in relation to clinical equipment.
- Proficient in electronic and mechanical technology, including the ability to read circuit diagrams and mechanical schematics.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and policies applicable to clinical equipment.
- Experience with test equipment setup and application (e.g., electrical safety analyzers, digital multimeters).
- Knowledge of Quality Indicators.
- Willingness to work flexible hours to meet business needs.
