General Responsibilities:
The Medical Equipment Delivery Technician is responsible for the transportation, installation, patient education, and retrieval of medical devices.
Work Schedule: Wednesday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Four 10-hour shifts)
Core Duties:
- Adhere to Quipt's policies and procedures relevant to this role.
- Efficiently set up medical equipment in patients' homes, ensuring safety and professionalism.
- Complete necessary documentation for equipment setup.
- Educate patients on the safe and effective use of medical devices.
- Guide patients on the proper handling of disposable supplies.
- Instruct on the cleaning and maintenance of equipment.
- Conduct routine deliveries and pickups of medical devices and supplies for existing patients.
- Perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance on equipment in patients' homes.
- Assist patients in achieving and maintaining compliance with their medical equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Support Quipt in achieving its growth and financial objectives.
- Must be capable of lifting a minimum of 75 pounds.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to pass a background check
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capability to work independently and complete tasks accurately and on time.
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required.
