Our goal is to create spaces that resonate meaningfully with communities.

You will spearhead the development of integrated design proposals, continuously update building information models, and prepare various outputs and drawings throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members and collaborate closely with colleagues to achieve project goals as directed by the Project Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage in design development through sketches, digital models, diagrams, and massing studies.
  • Utilize BIM technologies to create detailed three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborative sessions.
  • Interpret and implement building codes and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and revise documentation across various architectural phases, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, and details.
  • Contribute to the bidding and negotiation phases, preparing necessary addenda.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals, respond to RFIs, and conduct site observations.
  • Lead project coordination meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in client requirement discussions and value analysis.
  • Assist in drafting project specifications and ensure coordination with construction documents.
  • Participate in constructability reviews and perform quality assurance on projects.

Qualifications

Your expertise should include:
  • In-depth knowledge of accessibility codes and building regulations.
  • Strong understanding of architectural document production and the interplay between drawings and specifications.
  • Proficiency in building construction systems, methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Ability to conduct effective space planning and develop detailed architectural plans.
  • Experience in leading teams through all phases of architectural production.
  • Creative and critical thinking skills, with the ability to communicate concepts effectively.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and SketchUp.

Education and Experience

A professionally accredited degree in Architecture or a related field is required, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. LEED Green Associate Accreditation or LEED AP certification is preferred. Experience in Civic, Transit, or Federal projects is highly desirable.

This description outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications for the role, but additional duties may be assigned as necessary.
