The Senior Systems Architect will engage in the development and documentation of system, network, and security requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and deploy hardware, software, applications, and functionalities within testing environments for evaluation prior to integration into the baseline ICON RA.
  • Utilize, wherever feasible, government-provided software and tools for service delivery, while also exploring innovative solutions and efficiencies through the integration of other software and tools in accordance with IT Service Management (ITSM) principles.
  • Organize and lead regular Technical Exchange Meetings (TEMs) with government and industry Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to share best practices, gather insights, and adapt the ICON RA to fulfill both industry and governmental requirements.
  • Document discussions, action items, and other relevant details from the TEMs as meeting minutes or After-Action Reports (AAR) within 10 business days following each meeting.
  • Provide updates on lessons learned, corrections, and release notes stemming from assessments and evaluations of new and updated component testing as part of the Monthly System and Network Metrics.
  • Assist in Asset Management and Configuration Management (CM) services to ensure technical and administrative oversight of technology assets, maintaining visibility into asset types and quantities across the Enterprise IT landscape.
  • Identify and delineate IT Configuration Items (CIs) within the system, managing changes throughout their lifecycle and reporting on the status of CIs.
  • Facilitate Periodic Change Boards (PCBs) or other CM-related meetings as required.
  • Oversee the status accounting process, manage Status Review and Change Boards (SRCBs), document outcomes, and follow up on action items from CM-related meetings.
  • Execute configuration management tasks, including the establishment of processes and procedures necessary to document the baseline configuration of ICON ISS and record changes in accordance with the change control process.
  • Maintain baseline configurations that encompass details about system components, including installed software packages, current version numbers, patch information, and configuration settings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • BA/BS degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification is mandatory.
  • Security+ certification is preferred.
  • Top Secret clearance is required, with the ability to obtain an SCI clearance.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent customer service abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficiency in managing a complex workload, coordinating multiple resources, and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
