San Diego, California, United States River Partners Full time
Job Overview

Position Title: Restoration Science Ecologist

Location: Imperial Valley, CA

Reports to: Associate Director of Science

At River Partners, we believe that a sustainable future for California's ecosystems and communities requires innovative thinking, strategic problem-solving, and unwavering commitment. As we expand our team of dedicated professionals, we invite you to be part of this vital mission.

About Us

Founded in 1998, River Partners is dedicated to revitalizing California's river ecosystems. Our approach integrates modern agricultural practices, advanced scientific research, and collaborative partnerships to restore river habitats and essential wildlife corridors at an impressive scale. We have successfully rehabilitated more habitat along degraded California rivers than any other organization in the western United States, executing numerous projects across nearly 20,000 acres.

Our initiatives yield significant benefits for endangered species, flood management, climate resilience, water conservation, and the well-being of local communities and economies.

Our Mission

Healthy rivers are crucial for a thriving California. They supply fresh water essential for agriculture, economic growth, and unique wildlife. California's rivers support a diverse array of species, making our state a global biodiversity hotspot. Unfortunately, only 5% of our native riverside habitats remain intact, and urgent action is needed to restore what is left.

The decisions we make today will shape the future of California. By fostering healthy rivers, we can ensure a prosperous Golden State for generations to come.

Why Join Us?

River Partners provides competitive compensation and benefits, including comprehensive health insurance, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan with immediate employer matching, paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, and employee assistance programs.

We take pride in our supportive workplace culture and commitment to work-life balance.
