Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Restoration Specialist to join our team at Restoration Management Company. As a key member of our restoration team, you will be responsible for leading a team of technicians in the restoration of homes and businesses affected by water, smoke, and environmental damage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of 8 or more technicians in the restoration process, providing supervision and direction based on defined job parameters.
  • Oversee and ensure maintenance of company-assigned vehicles and restock supplies as necessary.
  • Complete and turn in crew sheets and job notes at the end of each day.
  • Serve as a role model in following and enforcing company policy and safety procedures while performing services.
  • Assist in the development of technicians through mentoring, coaching, equipping, and encouraging development of skills.
  • Act as a company Site Safety Representative, applying knowledge of industry standards, safety training, and understanding of company policies in enforcing safety guidelines.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of completed timecards, ensuring timecards are submitted in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Turn in completed work orders, which may include measurements, moisture readings, and necessary detailed paperwork for the Project Manager to complete billing.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a lead technician role in the construction or restoration/mitigation field.
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record (Class C).
  • Must be insurable.
  • Thorough understanding of safety guidelines and applies safety knowledge/expertise to daily tasks.
  • Successfully completed the Site Safety Representative training.
  • Possesses thorough knowledge of company SOPs and adheres to guidelines.
  • Responsible for the development of technicians (crew), encouraging opportunities for growth.
  • Expertise in the use of hand tools, power tools, and other miscellaneous equipment to complete the job.
  • Good grasp of the English language (read, write, verbal).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Able to pass a Respirator Physical and obtain a respiratory fit exam.
  • Can interpret and apply complex plans/details/instructions (i.e., Material Data Sheets) in daily activities, with the ability to articulate and communicate same to the crew.
  • Industry certifications preferred, with the ability to pass medical exams if required for certification.
Working Conditions
  • May require travel (domestic/international) depending on assigned department/branch.
  • Repetitive L/R hand motion (use of hand and power tools).
  • Agility: bend, squat, crawl, climb stairs, ladders, spaces, twist, pushing, pulling, reach down and overhead.
  • Requires ability to lift heavy objects frequently (up to 50lbs).
  • Can work in confined spaces.
  • Can work in unsanitary conditions, regularly.
  • Required OT for scheduled work, after-hour response, and weekends options available.
