Great Ecology is at the forefront of ecological consulting, focusing on innovative solutions for environmental challenges. We are currently looking for a skilled ecologist with a strong background in coastal ecosystems, particularly in the context of sea level rise and wetland restoration.

Position Overview:

  • Oversee and direct ecological restoration initiatives
  • Act as an expert witness in ecological matters
  • Assist in the growth of business opportunities
  • Guide and develop junior team members
  • Foster collaboration within teams and maintain client relationships

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of seven years of relevant experience in ecological restoration
  • In-depth knowledge of ecosystems and regulatory frameworks in the southeastern United States
  • Proven track record in managing multifaceted restoration projects
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively

Desirable Attributes:

  • PhD in a pertinent field
  • Experience within the oil and gas sector
  • Professional certifications in ecology or wetland science
  • Familiarity with economic modeling and market evaluations
  • Proficiency in GIS and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong networking skills within the southeastern US
