Key Responsibilities:
Proficiency in high voltage systems, rotating machinery, hydraulic and cooling water systems, along with various electrical apparatus such as switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, relays, conduit systems, or other equipment including Programmable Logic Controllers is essential.

  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within electrical systems or equipment.
  • Perform standard calculations related to load requirements for wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Utilize a range of hand tools, measurement, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical diagrams and drawings, while being knowledgeable about local codes and regulations, including National Electrical Code standards.
  • Physical capability to bend for extended periods, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 35 lbs., and willingness to work various shifts and overtime.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Lockout/Tagout protocols and knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) or similar systems is advantageous. A Journeyman or Master License is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, teamwork orientation, and effective problem-solving abilities are required.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is mandatory. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance as necessary. A minimum of two (2) years of college education in computer science, mathematics, or related engineering disciplines, coupled with four (4) years of relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years. Previous experience with computer terminals is highly desirable.

Work Environment:
Office setting (10%). Industrial/Test Environment – potential exposure to high noise levels, hazardous materials, explosives, chemicals, and industrial facilities (85%).

Travel between facilities and testing operations may be necessary, which could involve exposure to loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment and chemical operations (5%).

Physical Requirements:
Must possess adequate mobility to access confined spaces, maneuver into or onto various assemblies while maintaining safety awareness. Potential exposure to high noise levels, hazardous chemicals, propellants, and similar conditions. Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all situations. Must be capable of walking, standing, bending, twisting, and sitting for extended periods, as well as climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 35 lbs. (5).

Equipment and Machines:
Facility operations display/keyboards/mechanical/electrical control/HMI. Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, copier, etc.) (30%).

Attendance:
Regular attendance is mandatory (100%). Overtime/work outside of normal hours may be required (
