Key Responsibilities:
Proficient in high voltage systems, rotating machinery, hydraulic and cooling water systems, and various electrical apparatus including switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, relays, conduit systems, or other equipment such as Programmable Logic Controllers.

  • Interpret blueprints, schematics, layouts, or other specifications
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues within electrical systems or equipment
  • Perform standard calculations related to load requirements for wiring or electrical apparatus
  • Utilize a range of hand tools, measurement, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical diagrams and drawings, with knowledge of local codes and regulations, as well as National Electrical Code standards.
  • Physical capability to bend for extended periods, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift up to 35 lbs., and willingness to work various shifts and overtime.
  • Familiarity with OSHA Lockout/Tagout procedures and knowledge of Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) or similar systems is advantageous. A Journeyman or Master License is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to collaborate within a team, and effective problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship is required. Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance as necessary. A minimum of two (2) years of college education in computer science, mathematics, or related engineering fields, combined with four (4) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling six (6) years. Previous experience with computer terminals is highly preferred.

Work Environment:
Office setting (10%). Industrial/Test Environment – Potential exposure to high noise levels, hazardous materials, explosives, chemicals, and industrial facilities. (85%)

Travel between facilities and testing operations may be necessary, potentially exposing you to loud noise and hazardous equipment and chemical operations. (5%)

Physical Requirements:
Must possess sufficient mobility to access confined spaces, maneuver around various assemblies while maintaining a focus on safety. Potential exposure to high noise levels, hazardous chemicals, propellants, and similar conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and training will be provided for all situations. Must be capable of walking, standing, bending, twisting, and sitting for extended periods, as well as climbing, crawling, and lifting up to 35 lbs. (5)
