Job Overview

ActionLink is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Area Manager to lead our sales team in a designated U.S. geographic territory. As a key member of our sales leadership team, you will be responsible for driving regional sales success and ensuring a standard of excellence in the execution of all training, sales performance, and relationship building initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets and increase market share
  • Lead and manage a remote field team of sales representatives, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities
  • Collaborate with field leadership and client leadership to ensure fulfillment of key performance indicators and analyze business results
  • Identify and implement process improvements to drive sales growth and efficiency
  • Develop and maintain relationships with retail store leadership teams and ActionLink representatives
  • Monitor and utilize reporting and analytics to drive sales and increase market share across all categories
  • Deliver effective training and sales presentations to multiple audiences
  • Assist with talent acquisition and recruitment through networking, job fairs, and beauty events
Requirements
  • Cosmetology license preferred
  • Minimum two (2) years of remote team management experience, with district management experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of retail environment, execution, and products
  • Experience working in retail stores in a multi-unit capacity preferred
  • Proven leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and influence
  • Able to adapt and multitask as needed between multiple priorities
  • Ability to build and foster business relationships at multiple levels
  • Proven negotiation and analytical skills with professional business acumen
  • Ability to performance manage a team
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, to communicate at all levels of the business
  • Presentation skills to present confidently in front of a varied audience
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Proven time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on weekends and have a flexible schedule
  • Must be professional and presentable
Work Environment
  • Office and retail store environments. Home office space with high-speed internet connectivity and a phone is required.
  • Ability to travel extensively, up to 75% of the time, including overnights
Physical Requirements
  • Must have the ability to travel as needed by vehicle and/or plane
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be able to rent a car under ActionLink's corporate insurance standards
  • Must be mobile and able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time
  • Must have the ability to use a computer, keyboard, mouse, phone, and other standard office equipment
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
