Description Summary

Our client, a top mechanical contractor, is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Construction Project Manager for our organization. Backed by the strength and stability that comes with almost a century of customer care and ownership, our client adheres to the highest safety standards for its employees and clients. They offer industry-leading building information modeling (BIM) capabilities, design/build services, sustainable solutions, commercial HVAC services, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations. This position will lead mechanical construction projects safely on time and within budget for various markets including Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial, Industrial, and a wide range of other markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Safety of field personnel assigned to the projects
  • Field labor productivity
  • Quality assurance and coordination
  • Project financial outcome, projections, and reporting
  • Material and equipment procurement
  • Change order management
  • Owner/client relations
  • Project cash flow
  • Personnel management

Comply with all company operating policies, procedures, executed plans, and programs. Other duties may be assigned. Managers are responsible for directing and overseeing the work activities of their direct reports and to be available during the hours that any direct reports are working.

Computer Skills

Able to effectively operate the following computer software programs - Microsoft (Excel, Works, Project, Access, and Powerpoint), Bluebeam Revu PDF editing, Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software), and Quotesoft Estimating Software.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic business mathematical functions

  • Effectively manage time and details
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Have organizational skills in handling & archiving technical data
  • Comply with all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs

To perform this job successfully, the individual must have 5-7 years construction work-related experience and/or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, and be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
