Corporate Controls Engineer

We are looking for a meticulous and experienced Corporate Controls Engineer to enhance our financial oversight capabilities. This role is pivotal in managing corporate financial reporting, forecasting, and cost management to ensure the fiscal integrity and success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Cost Management:
    • Implementing project budgets into cost tracking systems with a solid grasp of job cost management principles.
    • Maintaining and updating cost codes for various projects as necessary.
    • Monitoring cost history, which includes managing requests for projects, preparing analytical reports, and distributing critical information.
    • Handling access requests for job cost-related systems efficiently.
  • Project Performance Tracking:
    • Assisting in the cost tracking of projects and conducting regular performance analyses.
    • Facilitating weekly project meetings to discuss progress, labor, and material expenditures.
    • Coordinating project forecasting sessions three times a year, which involves supporting projects with forecasting, document management, meeting organization, report compilation, and presentation preparation.
    • Providing financial closure support at year-end, including resolving outstanding project issues, tracking billing and collections, reviewing project closures, and preparing comprehensive reports.
    • Organizing, maintaining, and analyzing data to provide support to executive management.
  • Training and Development:
    • Designing and delivering training sessions at regular intervals to enhance project staff's understanding of controls procedures.
    • Updating and developing procedural documentation as needed.
    • Training new engineering personnel on cost tracking software and related tools.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Construction Management is required.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
  • Experience with cost management software is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
