Job Title: DER Protection and Control Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled DER Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing protection and control schemes for high voltage electrical utility substations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement protection and control schemes for high voltage electrical utility substations
  • Develop and maintain electrical power calculations and design documents
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  • Interface with clients and other stakeholders to provide technical expertise and support

Requirements:

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering (emphasis on Power Systems or Sustainable Energy)
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in high voltage electrical utility substation protection and control engineering
  • Strong understanding of protection and control schemes, electrical power calculations, and design principles
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
