Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing substation protection and control projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities
  • Develop and implement digital logic design, AC and DC circuits for substation electrical projects
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and safe work practices
  • Work with client standards to implement design

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as SDS AutoCAD Electrical
