Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation protection and control projects for electric utilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from 12kV to 500kV, and to contribute to the growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities
  • Develop and implement digital logic designs, AC and DC circuits, and wiring designs
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to meet project needs
  • Ensure compliance with quality control and safe work practices
  • Participate in project lifecycle support from scoping to final design and implementation
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and design substation protection and control drawings
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as SDS AutoCAD Electrical
