Job Title: Assistant Property Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Assistant Property Manager to join our team at Thomas Safran & Associates. As an Assistant Property Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our apartment communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide exceptional customer service to residents and applicants, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in coordinating resident activities and events, including editing monthly newsletters to foster a sense of community.
  • Retain accurate and up-to-date resident files, conducting income certifications according to program guidelines.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders and projects, maintaining the property's appearance and condition.
  • Support the Property Manager with marketing, leasing, and certification paperwork to achieve and maintain a high occupancy rate.
  • Maintain resident relations in compliance with Occupancy and Fair Housing guidelines.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience preferred.
  • Customer service experience required; experience with Section 8 and/or Tax Credit affordable housing programs preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing laws preferred but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and Yardi software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a warm and outgoing personality.
