We are currently in search of a Tier 1 Automotive Sales Account Manager. This role involves overseeing one or more Automotive OEM customer accounts, which encompasses nurturing existing relationships, managing engineering change quotations, conducting negotiations, tracking cash collections, and ensuring adherence to JJE's core processes and protocols.

In addition to maintaining established processes, this position may require the development, implementation, and management of sales and account management strategies and systems. Regular reporting to management will be a key component of this role. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and innovative, thriving in a collaborative and entrepreneurial setting. Responsibilities will include enhancing business development efficiency through structured reporting mechanisms such as Weekly and Quarterly Business Reviews.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Promptly address customer inquiries, ensuring data accuracy and high-quality responses.
  • Monitor customer portals and emails daily for timely follow-ups.
  • Maintain a transparent 'Bump Chart' for tracking price changes, ensuring alignment with corresponding purchase orders.
  • Ensure timely payment processing and provide regular updates to management.
  • Gather comprehensive information for quotations, leveraging experience to assess all potential cost and timing factors, and construct proposals that ensure profitability.
  • Proactively identify and strategize around potential challenges with key accounts, showcasing strong negotiation skills.
  • Act as an internal consultant, collaborating with business partners in sales and acquisition, and translating data analysis into actionable insights.
  • Deconstruct complex challenges to formulate and execute actionable plans.
  • Utilize analytical skills to understand and solve problems programmatically.
  • Create visual interfaces for effective data interaction.
  • Establish and implement essential business development support systems and processes to accommodate rapid growth.
  • Identify gaps in strategy with sales and account management teams, seeking opportunities for enhancement.
  • Lead regular business reporting to provide leadership with an accurate overview of business performance.
  • Oversee the strategic roadmap for sales and acquisition teams, ensuring ongoing progress.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years in Automotive Tier 1 sales.
  • Experience in new business acquisition is advantageous.
  • Proven ability to define, refine, and implement sales processes and policies.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with a history of presenting to senior management.
  • Sound business judgment and data-driven analytical skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a lean, fast-paced organization.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive tier 1 sales.
  • Experience with electrified products is a plus.
  • Familiarity with STLA is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with various levels of employees and customers.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to prepare professional presentations for executive meetings.
Work Environment:

This position is office-based and does not offer remote working options.
