Perdue Farms is a family-owned company that has been growing and innovating for over a century.

We create premium protein products for consumers and retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food.

This position will gather insights from primary and syndicated data across the Perdue Foods enterprise, interpreting data into actionable stories.

The Insights Manager will support company growth and drive the voice of the consumer across all the company's brands.

They will partner with brand/product teams to create new products, strengthen positioning, and aid in advertising, using effective and efficient quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

The role will also involve partnering with agencies and vendors, such as IRI, Kantar, Qualtrics, IPSOS, and other key research suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Marketing, Business, or a related field, with 5+ years of experience in a relevant market research role and consumer insights experience on the client-side.

They will be able to leverage syndicated services, such as Nielsen or IRI Scanner, Mintel, Numerator and Panel Data, Technomic, etc.

The candidate will also have superior communication, collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as strong statistical knowledge to design and analyze data.

They will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and have a high attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a research agenda for foods consumer and customer research.
  • Assist the director in identifying priorities, developing market research methodologies/studies, collecting data, analyzing results, synthesizing, and clearly communicating insights and recommendations.
  • Recommending and evaluating various approaches to strategic research.
  • Brand Health & Reputation Tracking.
  • New product concept testing.
  • Quantitative research testing such as choice-based models, segmentation, path to purchase, consumer decision tree, marketing media mix.
  • Qualitative research as needed, delivering reports in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Communication testing – advertisements, packaging, etc.
  • Gather data and develop reports in IRI Unify including POS, Panel, Shopper insights research and be able to integration of syndicated and custom research.
  • Lead yearly brand situation assessment with research vendors in preparation for growth planning with team.
  • Help develop research Best Practices for the organization.
  • Create strategic partnership with brands, channels, and portfolio leads, helping to connect insights and recommend actions and clear next steps.
  • Provide insights thought leadership and stay current on trends for retail and foodservice.
  • Improve organizational capability and competency through innovative tools and techniques.
  • Design quantitative research (surveys/questionnaires, polls) and provide statistical analysis of data.
  • Develop a story using data visualization and statistical software programs via tools such as Qualtrics, custom DIY platforms, SurveyMonkey, SPSS, XLSTAT, Tableau, Power BI.
  • Lead qualitative projects using our DIY internal virtual focus group platform and develop qualitative AI research using our custom qualitative AI platform, UserTesting.

Requirements:

  • Background in Marketing, Business, or related field required.
  • 5+ years prior experience in a relevant market research role, and consumer insights experience on the client-side (CPG preferred).
  • Experience leveraging syndicated services (e.g. Nielsen or IRI Scanner, Mintel, Numerator and Panel Data, Technomic, etc.).
  • Superior communication, collaboration, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong statistical knowledge to design and analyze data; presentation skills (written, oral, and across Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects.
  • High attention to detail.

Preferred Experience:

  • CPG experience.
  • Master's degree.
  • Protein experience.
  • Experience with survey and analytic programs such as Qualtrics, Google Cloud Platform (Google Analytics), and qualitative AI.

Location:

The ideal candidate is onsite in Salisbury, MD, but open to remote.
