Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ramp Lead to oversee and coordinate activities on the airport ramp, ensuring the efficient and safe handling of aircraft and ground services. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating with a team of ramp personnel, handling the loading and unloading of baggage and cargo, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with flight crews, ground staff, and operations control to facilitate timely aircraft turnarounds
  • Conduct regular inspections of the ramp area and equipment to maintain safety standards
  • Respond to operational challenges and troubleshoot issues as they arise
  • Train and mentor ramp staff on best practices and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate records of ramp activities and incidents
  • Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations as required and guidelines
Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in ramp operations or a similar role in the aviation industry
  • Must have a valid state-issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Ability to use electronic devices, including iPads, tablets, computers, and mobile devices
  • Effective communication skills
  • Pass a background check and drug screen
  • Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with prolonged standing and walking in an indoor/outdoor environment. The ability to lift up to 70 pounds, push, pull, and climb at elevated heights is also required. Exposure to moderate and at times high noise levels, biohazards, and chemicals is also a possibility.
