Aveanna Healthcare - Private Duty Nurse RN

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Nurse RN to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide one-on-one care to our patients in the comfort of their own homes, assisting them with transitioning home from the hospital and providing the continuous care needed to remain at home with their loved ones.

Responsibilities:
  • Implementing physicians' prescribed plans of care
  • Conducting patient assessments and coordinating care
  • Administering prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies
  • Documenting care provided in our system of record
  • Providing health promotion, teaching, and training to family members
  • Accepting and writing verbal orders from physicians as required, and obtaining co-signature of Case Manager on all verbal orders
  • Following up with physician, client, family members, staff, and Case Manager on client problems, concerns, and/or changes in client condition
Requirements:
  • Active, unencumbered license (RN/LPN/LVN) in the state in which the clinician will practice
  • Current CPR certification from American Red Cross, American Heart Association, or BLS
  • TB skin test (current within last 12 months)
  • Six months prior hands-on nursing experience preferred but not required
  • Reliable transportation
