Job Summary

ENTWISTLE COMPANY is seeking a highly skilled HR Generalist to join our team. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to support daily operations of the HR Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the HR Director with all aspects of training, record-keeping, and procedures.
  • Track scrap and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in the onboarding process, including drug screens and physicals.
  • Conduct phone screens and interviews, working closely with department heads to meet personnel needs.
  • Maintain all insurance changes, additions, subtractions, and reconcile monthly billings.
  • Assist the HR Director with company training initiatives.
  • Resolve employee issues and employee needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain personnel training matrices and records.
  • Work closely with department heads to update job descriptions, training requirements, and succession planning.
  • Assist with the Anniversary Award Program.
  • Execute bereavement and retirement processes, including planning and executing gifts, flowers, and gatherings.
  • Conduct exit interviews and prepare final termination paperwork for departing staff members.
  • Maintain new hire orientation and termination lists.
  • Plan in-house and off-site activities.
  • Manage Danville travel needs and bookings.
  • Deposit, balance, and manage petty cash and local accounts.
  • Perform daily post office duties.
  • Manage PO receipts, shipping logs, receivers, and invoices.
  • Manage medical insurance and filing systems.
  • Manage company uniforms and billings, including first aid supplies.
  • Manage safety shoes and safety glasses.

Requirements

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in human resources or a closely related field is preferred.

5-10 years' experience in human resources.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with employees, management, and HR colleagues.

Strong attention to detail.

Experience navigating interpersonal relationships between team members.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Experience in compliance with labor laws and regulations.
