Position Overview

As an Architectural Project Leader, you will take charge of the entire building design process, ensuring that all construction documents are produced in compliance with relevant codes and regulations. Your role will involve close collaboration with clients and project managers to accurately assess project requirements and deliver quality outcomes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with Project Managers and clients to clarify project objectives and budgets, while assisting in proposal preparations.
  • Overseeing architectural projects from initial concept development to comprehensive construction documentation, including specifications and cost estimates.
  • Conducting life-safety analyses and code assessments for both new and existing structures to ensure compliance.
  • Managing construction administration tasks such as responding to RFIs, reviewing shop drawings, and conducting site observations.
  • Performing site visits and measurements to document existing conditions for renovation initiatives.
  • Leading due diligence research and managing the permit submission process.
  • Coordinating project timelines and tracking milestones with clients, team members, and relevant authorities.
  • Creating project schedules and overseeing the quality control of construction documents.
  • Facilitating meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders, including Planning and Zoning Boards.
  • Understanding project financial metrics and collaborating with Project Managers to maintain budgetary and timeline adherence.
  • Reviewing operational procedures to ensure compliance with policies and performance standards.
  • Executing additional project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in project management within a design and construction context; or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Preferred: Architectural License and LEED Certification.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit, with knowledge of Newforma and Microsoft Office Suite.
