Position Title: Front Desk Agent I

Department: Rooms

Reports To: Front Desk Manager and Guest Experience Manager

Compensation: $14/hr

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering friendly and efficient registration and information services to all guests, fellow team members, and visitors. As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in shaping their initial impressions of the property. This position is dynamic, varied, and provides opportunities for flexible scheduling and meeting new individuals.

Given the 24/7 nature of our operations, availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays, is required as per management's request.

Physical Requirements:

Position involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including individuals. This role requires standing for extended periods, up to six hours at a time.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Welcome guests and manage check-in/check-out processes.
  2. Review all incoming guests.
  3. Assist with guest inquiries, requests, and reservations.
  4. Complete shift checklists and necessary reports promptly.
  5. Monitor guest accounts and room availability.
  6. Anticipate guest needs and provide options to exceed their expectations.
  7. Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
  8. Adhere to hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
  9. Answer all phone calls within three rings and respond to emails and messages on the same day.
  10. Communicate pertinent information to department heads both verbally and in writing.
  11. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and other software applications. Knowledge of Opera account management system is essential.
  12. Conduct all sales-related interactions with the utmost professionalism while adhering to specified standards.

  2. Implement process improvements and best practices.
  3. Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance.
  4. Strictly follow the hotel's confidentiality and ethics policies.
  5. Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
