Job Summary

Deriva Energy, a leading provider of sustainable energy solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Wind Technician I to join our team. As a Wind Technician I, you will play a critical role in maintaining the health and efficiency of our wind turbines, ensuring maximum energy production and minimizing downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with wind turbines, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Conduct energy isolation and pad-mounted transformer switching in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure optimal turbine performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed, including work orders, timesheets, and tool and PPE inventory.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's degree or certification in Wind/Renewable Energy or related field preferred.
  • 1+ year of experience in wind turbine maintenance or related field; external candidates must have 3+ years of experience.
  • Ability to climb heights up to 400 ft. daily and work in all-weather conditions.
  • Valid Driver's License required; ability to operate equipment, including forklifts and commercial motor vehicles.
