Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with employees on HR-related topics, particularly regarding benefits.
  • Maintain open communication with leadership to provide updates on HR activities.
  • Track and document compliance with mandatory training requirements.
  • Assist the recruitment team in sourcing and interviewing qualified candidates.
  • Utilize various HR systems and tools to support operational efficiency.
  • Facilitate the hiring process by collaborating with leadership and recruitment teams.
  • Manage employment verification requests and coordinate drug testing procedures.
  • Guide interns in their understanding of HR functions.
  • Conduct eligibility verifications and manage I-9 documentation in compliance with regulations.
  • Research and implement employment laws applicable to our operations.
  • Oversee new hire orientation and employee recognition initiatives.
  • Administer health and welfare plans, ensuring accurate enrollments and changes.
  • Process payroll documents and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Ensure the accuracy of employee personnel files through regular audits.
  • Manage office supplies and serve as a contact point for employee needs.
  • Execute HR programs and handle inquiries from employees and supervisors.
  • Stay informed on trends and best practices in HR and employment law.
  • Create and update training materials and resources.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in human resources management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Ability to quickly learn HRIS and timekeeping systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with government contracts.
  • Familiarity with Paylocity and/or Unanet.
  • Associate's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Management, or a related field.
