POSITION: Front Desk Agent I

DEPARTMENT: Rooms

REPORTS TO: Front Desk Manager and Guest Experience Manager

COMPENSATION: $14/hr

The Front Desk Agent is responsible for delivering exceptional service during guest registration and providing information to all visitors. As the first point of contact, the Front Desk Agent plays a crucial role in shaping guests' initial impressions of the establishment. This role is diverse, engaging, and offers flexible working hours while allowing interaction with a variety of individuals.

Given the nature of the hospitality industry, availability for all shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential.

Physical Requirements:

Position involves exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Standing for extended periods, up to six hours, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet, check-in/check-out, and guide guests upon arrival.
  2. Review and prepare for all incoming guests.
  3. Assist guests with inquiries, requests, and reservations.
  4. Complete shift checklists and necessary reports in a timely manner.
  5. Monitor guest accounts and room availability.
  6. Anticipate guest needs and provide options to exceed expectations.
  7. Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance and conduct.
  8. Follow hotel and departmental policies and procedures.
  9. Answer phone calls promptly and return messages within the same day.
  10. Communicate essential information to department heads effectively.
  11. Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, and other software proficiently. Familiarity with Opera account management system is essential.
  12. Conduct all sales interactions with professionalism, adhering to established standards.
General Duties:
  1. Participate in departmental meetings.
  2. Implement process improvements and best practices.
  3. Adhere to standards of conduct, dress, hygiene, and appearance.
  4. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards.
  5. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Front Office Manager.
