Position Summary:

The Customer Engagement Sales Manager will spearhead the formulation and execution of collaborative business strategies for the Campbell's Meals and Beverages divisions with our retail partners.

This role entails the proactive management, assessment, and refinement of the comprehensive business strategy to achieve volume, profitability, and market share targets.

The successful candidate will implement brand strategies and initiatives by closely collaborating with key stakeholders and leveraging category management insights to influence customer decision-making.

This position is designed to be fully remote, with an ideal focus on the PA/NY region.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic business planning process and annual initiatives with retail partners.
  • Utilize our sales planning tools and customer systems to devise optimal strategies.
  • Formulate and execute promotional strategies and tactical plans in collaboration with customers.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to analyze promotional performance and leverage insights for future opportunities.
  • Develop and manage accurate monthly forecasts to enhance supply chain efficiencies by monitoring shipments, consumption patterns, and inventory fluctuations.
  • Oversee deduction balances and evaluate post-audit results.
  • Facilitate category business reviews, utilizing loyalty and syndicated data to discuss business health, consumer trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Effectively utilize Category Management resources and loyalty data.
  • Possess a deep understanding of Campbell brand strategies and collaborate with key customer decision-makers.
  • Drive the introduction of new products, ensuring optimal distribution through customer engagement.
  • Monitor the success of new product launches and provide actionable recommendations for performance enhancement.
  • Collaborate with Shopper Marketing to create and implement joint marketing initiatives aligned with brand and customer strategies.
  • Identify profitable avenues for incremental volume growth.
  • Manage enhancements to our Meals and Beverages portfolio on customer platforms to drive e-commerce growth.

Job Complexity:
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape of the customer by category and strategy to align with our company’s objectives and determine the most effective investment strategy.
  • Build productive relationships with key decision-makers within the customer’s organization.
  • Manage multiple critical customer interactions.
  • Ensure trade funding aligns with company standards.
  • Engage in extensive cross-functional collaboration within the customer team and internal headquarters due to the complexity and strategic significance of the customer.
  • Utilize knowledge of syndicated databases and technical skills to leverage data effectively.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of P&L management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 5+ years of experience in CPG Industry Sales and/or Category Management.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes.
  • Technical proficiency.
  • Familiarity with category and brand dynamics.
  • Analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $85,900 and $140,800. Individual base pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
